1. Cubbies versus Skyfort or Redhead?
Cubbies are static, closed and require few opportunities for imaginative or challenging play. We would ask you to put your tool shed on your centre lawn and sit in it in the middle of summer… enough said. Peppertown Playgrounds are challenging, edgy, demand interactive play and kids love playing on them. Your children will spend time outside in all weather. They will learn to play socially and will get fit in the process. They will grow up feeling confident about outdoor activities and their ability to participate in them now as well as in the future.
2. How long does a Skyfort or Redhead take to assemble?
Depending on the model, assembly will take between 3-7 hours for one person. All fasteners are supplied. You will, however, need a quality electric drill for both fort styles.
3. Are the forts cemented?
Depending on the model, normally one post, and sometimes two posts will need to be concreted. You will need 2 x 20kg bags of quickset for each post. Peppertown sells 20kg bags (code Q1) for $9.50.
4. How do I choose a playground for my child?
Peppertown Playgrounds are designed to challenge your child physically, as well as provide creative and adventurous play. Choose a playground that challenges your child, but can be managed by your child. If you have any questions, seek advice from our expert staff.
5. My ground is uneven; can I put a fort on a slope?
Peppertown playgrounds are unique as they can be built on any sloping surface within reason for very little extra cost and with little inconvenience.
6. Do you use CCA treated pine?
No, we only use ENVIRO log and panels which are an approved Australian Standards product for playground equipment.
7. I have an old fort, what can I do to liven it up?
Seal the cracks with paint and panel bog or silicon filler, and paint with Wattyl Solagard or high quality outdoor weather paint.
8. Can I paint my fort?
Yes. You can use any Wattyl Solagard colour.
9. How do I maintain my playground?
We highly recommend that all our cubbies and forts be oiled or painted whenever the conditions dictate but a minimum of three times a year.  Peppertown sells a Linseed Oil and Turps mixture for $16.95 (code CTS2) which helps to keep your fort looking better longer. This combination is enough to coat most of our fort designs.
10. What is included in my playground?
Each fort includes everything as pictured in our catalogues or on our website. If there is something that you wanted added or taken off your fort, talk to one of our experienced sales staff. Peppertown playgrounds come with everything you need to assemble them that afternoon. Consequently, all hardware and timber is included in your kit; all you need is a quality electric drill.
11. Can I change or add to my playground later?
Most definitely.
12. Do all the new accessories fit my old Peppertown Skyfort?
Yes.

14. We are renting/moving, can the forts be disassembled?
Yes. The fort can be disassembled in less than an hour (except for the concreted key post/s which can be dug out or cut off at ground level).
15. What type of payments does Peppertown accept?
We welcome VISA, Master card, Direct Deposit, and cheque payments.
16. Where can I see a Peppertown Playground, cubby or fort?
We put cubbies & playgrounds in many Schools, Pre Schools and Council Parks all around Australia. Peppertown playgrounds are distinctive because we use split colour canopies combined with a log construction. 17. Are your swings and accessories compatible with other cubbies and playgrounds?
Our swings and accessories are compatible with all recognised preschool and primary school playground equipment.
18. Do I need mulch or a safety surface?
It is important to understand that no playground should ever be built on a concrete surface or near a hard edge. In the fall zones an impact material or softfall is recommended.
19. Can I pick up my order from you?
Yes you can pick up from us we are the one stop playground shop. Everything is manufactured or consolidated from the one site at 1908 Sandgate Road, Virginia. Most of our playgrounds can be transported on a standard ute or trailer. Remember to bring something to tie your fort down with as well as blankets or packing to protect slides and/or steelwork.
20. Do you install?
Yes we do. All installation costs depend on what model is chosen and location. Contact us and we can provide an installation estimate on any model.
21. Do you deliver?
Yes. Peppertown needs a postcode to estimate approximate delivery charges. We ask that drop off points be easily accessible and obvious. It is not necessary that someone be at home to accept the delivery, but it is helpful. Please note that because our deliveries are contracted, the drivers will only lift the playgrounds pieces off the truck. They will not carry the playgrounds to any designated areas other than the drop off point.
22. How long will my order take to be delivered?
Depending on your location and stock availability, delivery for most items may be anything from next day to 10 working days for other locations. For playgrounds that are made to order, delivery can take 7-14 working days. If this extended delivery time applies, we will do our best to let you know. For Australian small parcel deliveries we use Australia Post and larger items go via independent freighters. For overseas shipping, delivery will generally take 3-6 working days for New Zealand and 7-14 working days for North America and Europe. All delivery times are targets only. 23. How much is freight?

24. Do you freight overseas?
Yes, we can ship items overseas (e.g. The Pacific, England, Canada, Europe & America) and do so regularly. Call or email us with the product that you are interested in and we will advise you of the shipping costs. Generally we use Australia Post for small parcels and Vanguard/DHL for larger items and LCL/FCL containers.
25. Do Peppertown playgrounds, forts and cubbies have warranties?
Yes, we have a standard warranty statement with all our printed catalogues and on our website. Please refer to HERE.
26. What sort of sand do I put in my sandpit?
North Stradbroke Island beach sand is best. A wheelie bin of sand fills our standard sized sandpit. We sell sandpit ground sheets (Code S15A) for $5.00.
27. How can I clean my Peppertown Slide?
Just use soap, warm water and a soft cloth.
28. What are the weight limits on your swings?
Weight limits are depended upon the swing, the rope, the hangers and the chain which are all variable factors. But most of our swings carry a minimum weight of 45kg up to 65kg with recommended attachments. As a side note we can design and build swings at very little extra cost for the disabled and adults.
29. Does the sun hurt my playground?
Yes. Where possible, put your playground in the shade. While Peppertown makes every effort to protect our playgrounds against extreme weather conditions and the sun, and we use UV inhibitors in all our plastics and rope materials, sunlight will ultimately effect the performance of all these materials. 30. Do you do site inspections?
Only for schools and kindergartens and special requests.

Check all bags thoroughly. Match packing list with equipment wherever possible. If you still feel something is missing, please call us at (07) 3865 5511 and we will be happy to help you.

35. How can I return or replace a Peppertown product?
Choose carefully. Peppertown goods with a receipt can be exchanged provided that all returned goods are unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition. Receipts must be valid and intact.  Click here to see our warranty details.
