Warranty and Repairs
Peppertown products and equipment are warranted against defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal and proper usage for 12 months from date of purchase, vandalism excluded. Plastic and fibreglass components carry a warranty against cracking or breaking for up to 12 months from date of purchase with normal wear and tear. Our timber is guaranteed against insect and bacteria decay for a period of 12 months. Although timber used is of high grade we do not guarantee against inherent characteristics which include wane, checks, cracks, stains, bows or twists. Our Enviropanels are guaranteed against de-lamination for 12 months.
Timber is a natural product, such that cosmetic imperfections and natural tendencies of wood such as peeling, splintering, warping, seasonal checking or cracking, knots or knot holes, etc. are normal characteristics of all wooden play equipment and are not covered by this warranty. Checks or cracks in wood components that do not affect the intended function of the part, piece or overall swing set functionality are not covered under this warranty. Wood rot or decay that develops because the product was installed in an area with poor drainage is not covered under this warranty. Fading of stain, discoloration, mould, or mildew on any wood part or accessory is not covered by this warranty.
The Peppertown warranty becomes void if the following procedures are not implemented as instructed: Enviroply panels, Enviroply decks and sawn timber must be coated with Intergrain UltraDeck Timber Stain (or quality outdoor paint) at the time of installation and every twelve months. Frontiers must be coated with a softwood timber oil (or quality outdoor paint) at the time of installation and every twelve months.
The Peppertown warranty also becomes void if any part of the play system has been subject to misuse, or if the instructions for its installation have been disregarded or altered. The Peppertown warranty becomes void if the play system has not been paid for at the contracted price as agreed at the time of purchase.
Peppertown liability is strictly limited to the cost of replacement or repair of the components warranted. Notification of returns must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods. Products must be returned to Peppertown at the customer’s expense to effect warranty replacement.
Prices quoted are FOB Brisbane, as nominated on the price list or website. We reserve the right to change prices without notice. Peppertown is not responsible for any loss or damage to the product in transit, or for delays in shipment once it has left our warehouse.
Peppertown is released from all responsibility for loss or damage in transit by the bill of lading, which is our receipt from the carrier that the shipment was complete and in good condition. This bill of lading is forwarded to you at the time of shipment and should be checked carefully when the shipment is received. Be certain to have the agent of the delivering carrier make a notation on your freight bill of any shortages or damage.
Freight insurance is available on request.
Approval for returned items must be made in advance. The purchaser must within 7 days of the discovery of defective equipment give written advice to Peppertown describing accurately the nature of the problem. Any items returned for the customers convenience must be sent freight pre-paid, be received in respectable condition, and are subject to a 10% restocking charge.
Installation directions on our units can be sent to the customer on request. We reserve the right to change specifications, installation directions and designs when appropriate.
This warranty supersedes any other warranty so given by any persons stated or implied. Peppertown does not authorise any person or company to make, change or imply to conditions of warranty herein described, nor does it accept any liability for such statements made or implied.
Missing Parts
If a customer believes that a Peppertown product does not include all necessary parts, they must contact us immediately by email sales@peppertown.com.au.
A customer must not attempt to use a product if any part is incomplete, as it may be dangerous. Any damage that the user causes because of using incomplete products will lead to voiding of the warranty.
Peppertown Frontier, Hurricane, Playstar and Action products are delivered to Peppertown headquarters pre-packaged; we are unable to check the boxes prior to delivery to ensure that they contain all the required parts. While the missing part rate during packing is very low, some parts may also fall out in transit due to small, unintentional tears in their boxes.
