Therapeutic Exercises and Games: There are many different therapeutic exercises and fun games that can be used while on the Glider Bolster. For instance, children can practice leaning from one side to the other, picking up bean bags or toys to help strengthen the upper body and trunk. This game also helps develop eye-hand coordination. To improve motor planning skills, children can use their muscles to climb around the Glider Bolster.
A whole body flexion strengthening exercise can be accomplished by hugging the bottom of the Glider Swing with the arms and legs and simultaneously swinging. Another exercise to help strengthen the neck and shoulders involves gliding back and forth using your child’s body weight to hit another object that is hanging from the ceiling.
